It is a pass/fail evaluation. Judges score dogs on bird finding ability, pointing, trainability and in Senior and Master tests - Retrieving and Honoring. Most Vizslas can pass a Junior Hunt level with the instincts they are born with. Find out more about hunt test here.
FIELD TRIALS and HUNT TEST
This area of competition focuses on what the Vizsla was breed to do and how much instinct still is in there genes! Field Trials are where dogs compete against other pointing breeds for placements that give them points towards a field championship. Judges evaluate dogs against other dogs based on bird finding ability, their desire to hunt, style of their point, and their trainability. You can read more about that here.
Unlike the Field Trials, Hunt Test are where the dogs are evaluated against a standard at three different levels (Junior, Senior, Master). The dogs run their test with a brace mate but are not evaluated against the other dog they are running with.
CONFORMATION SHOWING
This area of competition focuses on evaluating dogs against each other and which one best conforms closest to the breed standard in the judge's opinon.
To compete in these shows, the dog must not be neutered (it is an evaluation of breeding stock) and when the dog earns enough points they can achieve their Championship/Grand Championship.

AGILITY
In this area of competition dogs race against a clock as they navigate an obstacle course going through tunnels, seesaws, hoops, jumps, and elevated plateforms.
There are mulitple levels of courses and a few different type of courses. Many different titles can be earned even an Agility Championship/Grandchampionship.

Some of the tubes contain rats, some are blank, and some contain rat litter. Only the rat is the correct one. You can read more about these events here.
Watch a master course here . At this level you do not know how many rats are hidden and must call clear when you believe you have found them all.
BARN HUNT
In this area of competition dogs use their nose to locate rats hidden in hay bales. There are mulitiple levels of this event and you can even earn a championship. Dogs must go through a tunnel and climb on the bales to successfully qualify.
OBEDIENCE & RALLY OBEDIENCE
These areas of competition focuses on evaluating dogs willingness to follow directions and work with their handler. There are two different areas of competition with multiple levels for both.

SCENT WORK
This area of competition simulates work that a detection dog would do. (Think Drug/Bomb sniffing dogs) To succeed in this event, your dog must locate hidden odors in a variety of scenarios.
The elements the dogs compete in are Containers, Buried, Interior, and Exterior. At the highest level of competition of Scent Work is the Detective Class.
This area of competition taps into a dog desire to chase prey. In both competitions, the dog chases a bag, but both are on different lengths of courses.
Trick Dog
This area of performance gives teams an opportunity show off their skills in performing tricks. They are pass/fail evaluations. There are multiple levels to reach with your dog and you can find out more about them here.

Dog 4-H
This area of performance are when children work with their family dogs and to train them and learn how to care for their pet.
They often attend club meetings with their leaders and other kids and their dogs to learn these skills.

The Coursing Ability test has the lure go 600 yards and during that course your dog needs to chase it in set amount of time to the end. To find out more about this event, click here
This area of competition taps into a dog's keen nose and their ability to follow a trail. Because the Vizsla has natural instinct to follow and track their prey, they make fantastic trackers. To learn more about it, click here.
CANINE GOOD CITIZEN
